Due to the recent cases of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in Yellowstone County, if you have already scheduled a CWP appointment but are exhibiting symptoms and/or are quarantining please call our office and we will do our best to get you rescheduled as soon as possible.- ALL permits require a completed Application Packet. Which can be downloaded or picked up in our lobby 24/7.
- NEW permits are processed by appointment only. Fill out and print application and bring application to appointment, along with $50, cash, check or credit card, your MT ID/Drivers License and proof of firearm training. Do not sign application until you are before a sheriff’s office employee.
- EXPIRED permits (expired) more than 30 days will be processed as new permits and require an appointment.
- RENEWALS Fill out and print application and bring application to Sheriff’s Office, Monday through Friday 9am to 3pm, (holidays excluded) along with $25, cash, check or credit card, your MT ID/Driver’s License and current CCW permit. Do not sign application until you are before a sheriff’s office employee.
